Elwood " Woody" Dale Arp, age 86, of Huntington Beach, passed away April 9, 2005, in Huntington Beach. He was born January 3, 1919, in Mason, Neb., and moved to Huntington Beach two years ago. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1970 from the U.S. Air Force after 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ontario. Woody is survived by his daughter, Gail Guinn of Huntington Beach; son Douglas Arp of Mississippi; four adored and belovedgrandchildren, Taylor, Haydn, Dale and Rachel; and sister, Alberta Hybe of Nebraska. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 14, at Todd Memorial Chapel, Claremont. Interment will follow in Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont. Todd Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
