Services for Mike Kimbro Liles, 79, of Lufkin were held Thursday, April 10, 2003 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Liles was born March 21, 1924, in Humboldt, Tenn, to the late James Wesley Liles Sr. and Mary Eugene Perry Liles and died Monday, April 7, 2003 in a Lufkin hospital. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II, where he received an honorabel Purple Heart. He married Jackie Wall Liles. They moved to Marshall where mike worked and learned the dry leaning business. Mike brought his knowledge, determination and work ethic to Lufkin and opened his own cleaners, One Hour Martinizing. He later participated in another cleaning business, the Village Car Wash. Mike was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall and the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669, A.F&A.M.
