Raymond T. Lange, 77, of Aurora, passed away Friday, June 7, 2002 at Elmwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 1, 1924 in Oglesby, IL.
    Ray was raised in Batavia. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Zolper on September 29, 1945 at St. Peter Church in Aurora with Rev. Joseph A. Rzestko officiating. A Private in the U.S. Army, Ray was honorably discharged on September 11, 1943 and he was also honorably discharged from the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at the expiration of his term on January 28, 1942. Ray was employed at Sealmaster Bearing for 41 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of Holy Angels Church since 1946 where he was also a volunteer at the Holy Angels Church food pantry. Both Betty and Ray were members of the Elburn Sunset Swingers in Elburn, IL. He enjoyed watching all sports on TV and was always a huge Cub fan.
    He is survived by his wife, Betty; his two children: David L. (Sandra) Lange of Aurora and Carolyn R. (Paul) Hendricker of Sanford, FL; his four grandchildren: Carrie Beth Lange of Missouri, Matthew Lange of Aurora, Kristen and Jonathan Hendricker of Florida; a sister, Alice Abern of Batavia; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Emily (McDonald) and Charles Lange and his older sister Etta C. King.
    Funeral from THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY will be Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at 9:30AM to Holy Angels Church at 10:00AM. Fr. Martin Heinz will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a Liturgical Wake Service at 7:00PM at THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-898-8634, www.daleidenmortuary.com.
