Henry Johnson died in Essex, long before the formation of Goochland & that church. I am glad to share my records
The 1st record I can identify as this Henry Johnson - 29 Sep 1671 (Old Rappahannock Co DB 4, pg 258). Henry Johnson when he witnessed a deed of gift from Ambrose & Mary Clare to Katherine Griffin, dau of Samuel Griffin.
Here is a record of interest as to daughters of his 1st wife:
23 Jul 1695..Henry Johnson "intending to marry Mrs. Christian ( ) Bourne, widow: gives his 4 daughters:
Elizabeth Johnson 1st dau,
Sarah Johnson 2nd dau,
Catherine Johnson, 3rd dau,
Anne Johnson, 4th dau
Henry left a will in Essex. "The will of Henry Johnson of St. Mary's Par Essex planter..dated 30 Oct 1702 & proved in court 10 Jul 1703"
His only son Richard needed a guardian until 1707(Essex) which gives us the insight that he was born about 1686
(10 May 1707 Essex: Guardian bonds (Orphans of Henry Johnson - included his daughters, also)
Richard Johnson - guardian was Charles Taliaferro L100 Sterling
