Ronald L. Barrett, 68, of Ford City, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 3, 1938, in Kittanning, son of the late Lee and Melina (Mazzarella) Barrett, and was a life-long resident of Ford City.

He had been a business manager for the Laborers Union from 1993 until he retired on March 1, 2005.

He was a veteran of the Army, having served in the military police.

He was a member of Christ Prince of Peace Church and the Laborers Union Local 952, since 1964.

He loved sports, especially Notre Dame and the Steelers.

He loved music and movies, especially Frank Sinatra.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lillian (Bucko) Barrett; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Barrett, and his wife Darlene.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the MANTINI FUNERAL HOME, Ford City, where prayers for the transfer of the body will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Christ Prince of Peace Church with Father Edward Lewis officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Cemetery.
