Married to Mary E. NELSON. OBITUARY OF JOSEPH THOMAS LISK

Mr. Joseph Thomas LISK died very suddenly from heart failure at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B. H. PIKE, Monday afternoon, July 15, 1918.

About two weeks ago, he came to Canadian from Mountainair, New Mexico, to be treated for dropsy and apparently had been relieved and was able to be about.

He was 69 years old; was born, raised and married in Arkansas. He later moved to East Texas and then to Oklahoma. For the past ten years, he has made his home in New Mexico, except for some time that he has spent with his children in Canadian.

He raised nine children, all of whom survive him. His wife and seven of the children were present at the funeral, which was conducted from the First Baptist church, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock.

Interment was made in the cemetery at this place.

Three of his children, Mrs. PIKE, Mrs. PITTS and Sib LISK reside in our midst.
