Orrin Fay Farnsworth 1918 ~ 2007 Our beloved father and grandfather, Orrin Fay Farnsworth, was called home on March 5, 2007. He was born on December 17, 1918 in Monroe, Utah. He was the son of George Taylor Farnsworth and Mary Ann Briggs Farnsworth. He married Vea Valine Bell on September 5, 1939; later their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on May 27, 1946. He served in the military in World War II and fought in the battle on Luzon in the Philippines and received the bronze star. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He filled many church callings in the bishopric and clerk positions. He was a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Fay and Vea enjoyed a temple mission in Sydney Australia and Atlanta Georgia and Salt Lake Temple. He worked and retired from the automotive industry working for Bradshaw Auto Parts and Hafers, Inc. Fay and Vea enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. He especially enjoyed fishing trips to Alaska. He is survived by his children; Karen (Jim) Greenhalgh, Coleen (Leon) Park, Beverly (Ariel) Osmond, Orrin (Judy) Farnsworth, Valine (Clay) Winn; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Joseph Dennis, Floyd B, Erwin Dely, Alvin (Bud) sisters; Alta Chase, Mary Petersen, Ona Chase. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Utah State VA Nursing Home for their constant care for Dad. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may visit Wednesday, March 7, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Mountain View and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. He is loved and will be deeply missed by his family.
