Jesse W Callender of Lakeside, Pa., died Monday night at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs Earl Osterhout at Port Crane. He is survived by his wife, Levina; a son, Berton Callender of Scranton; two dughters, Mrs A Walker of Halistead, and Mrs E C Alling of Lakeside; two brothers, Augustine Callender of Scranton, and Stephen Callender of Thompson, Pa, and a sister, Mrs William Miller of Scranton. The body was taken to his home in Lakeside, where the funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev Mr Greenfield of New Milford, Pa, will officiate. Burial will be in New Milford cemetery.
