Naval Aid Cadet James Melvin HARDAGE is now at Corpus Christi on the last lap of his training to be a pilot. He hopes to receive his wings sometime in September. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred HARDAGE, Hemphill County.

OBITUARY
Ensign James Melvin HARDAGE, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred HARDAGE of Glazier, was killed in a plane crash in Florida on December 14, 1943.
He graduated from Canadian High School with the class of ’40 and the news of his death came as a terrible shock to all who knew him.
His father is connected with the Ingwersen feed store in Canadian.
