Cornelia A. Schultz was the daughter of Lewis T Shultz (1824-1907) and Catherine M. Pickett (1825-1910).

Cornelia married Edward Freeman Rominger (1848-1930) on 21 Oct 1869 at Bartholomew County, Indiana. Cornelia and Edward were the parents of seven known children, namely:

1. Jennie Florence Rominger Utter (1870-1951)
2. Alta May Rominger (1872-1961)
3. Maud Lee Rominger Hite (1874-1963)
4. Enrie Ester Rominger Stamm (1876-1957)
5. Frank Larue Rominger (1880-1964)
6. Lora Schultz Rominger Simmons (1883-1972)
7. Lisle (Lyle) Anderson Rominger (1894-1980)

Mrs. Cornelia Rominger, 93, well-known resident of Hope, died at 8:15 Tuesday night at the Norton Nursing Home at Seymour where she had been confined for several months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Hope Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. A. L. Beatty, pastor of the East Columbus Methodist Church. Burial will be made at Moravian Cemetery.

Mrs. Rominger was born in North Carolina, the daughter of Mr. and Ms. L. T. Shultz. She came to the Hope community when a small child and spent the remainder of her life there with the exception of 25 years that she and her husband lived in Decatur County where he was a mail carrier.

She was a charter member of the Hope Methodist Church there and the oldest member of the Woman's Society of Christian service. She was the last member of her family.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Jennie Utter, Miss Alta Rominger, and Mrs. Floyd Stam of Hope, Mrs. Maude Hite of Greensburg rural route, Mrs. Lora Simmons of Kinghtstown, Frank Rominger of Rushville, and Lyle Rominger of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
