Arno W. Winkel, 66 of Kiel, died Wednesday morning (Dec 28, 1988) at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, after a short illness.

He was born July 26, 1922, in the Town of Meeme, son of the late August and Martha Meyer Winkel. He attended Pigeon River Grade School.
On Oct 7, 1944 he married Dorothy Teodter in Howards Grove. He farmed on the family homestead in the Town of Meeme, until retirement in 1979 when they moved to Kiel. He was also a substitute bus driver for the Kiel School district. He was a member of St. Johns's UCC , Schwartzwald. He was also a member of the Ada Fire Department for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one son DeLyle (Susan) of M.C.S. Cherry Point , North Carolina, six daughters, Marilou (Walter) Preevey, Scottsdale Arizona; Darlene (Merlin) Zorn, rural Elkhart Lake; Joyce (Gerald) Doebert, Sheboygan : Beverly (Robert) Koeppen, Howards Grove; Rosalie (Joseph) Miller, rural Cleveland and Linda (Glen) Berg, Sheboygan ; 15 grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Verna (Gerald) Athorp, Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his parents.
