Born May 10, 1917 in Town of Centerville, she was a daughter of Henry and Olivia Sohn Schmidt.
On June 28, 1937 she married Henry Westermeyer, in the Town of Mosel and the couple farmed the homestead farm, retiring in 1966.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Schwartzwald, and a 4-H leader for nine years.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Frederick of Cleveland; a daughter, Mrs. David (Helen) Schmitz of Howards Grove; five grandchildren; three brothers, Irving, Roy, Henry Schmidt, all of Cleveland; and four sisters, Mrs. Alice Casper of Howards Grove, Mrs. Raymond Thiel, Mrs. Bernice Zimmermann and Mrs. Edmund Bender, all of rural Cleveland.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, the Rev. Dean Miller, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Zimmer funeral Home in Howards Grove Monday from4 to 9 p.m., and at the church from noon until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Westermeyer’s name.
