The former Olga Wippermann was born Nov. 4, 1900, a daughter of the late Otto and Emily Fischer Wippermann. She attended Mosel District 1 School.
Erwin Valenstein and Olga Wippermann were united in marriage on June 3, 1922, at the Wippermann homestead. After marriage, the couple farmed on the Otto and Lena Valenstein homestead until they retired, moving to Howards Grove in 1958. Erwin preceded her in death in January 1979. Olga was a life-member of St. John United Church of Christ, Schwarzwald.
Funeral services for Olga Valenstein will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s UCC, Schwarzwald, with the Rev. Lloyd Fried, pastor, officiating. The committal service will be held Friday, at 9 a.m., at St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at St. John UCC Church on Thursday, from 3 p.m., until time of services.

Survivors of Olga Valenstein include one son, Orville (Gloria) Valenstein, of Howards Grove; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Daniel (Jeanette) Boedeker, of Howards Grove; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold (Esther) Wippermann, of Town Mosel, and Milton Wippermann, of rural Sheboygan Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Hertha Lorfeld, of Plymouth and Mrs. Verna Knoener, of Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and three sisters.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Olga Valenstein to St. John’s UCC.
