Sophie Schulz Sheboygan Press August 30, 1957

Mrs. Sophie Schulz, 73, widow of Albert Schulz, a resident of R. 1, Elkhart Lake, died this morning following a lingering illness. She was born at Howards Grove April 29, 1884, the daughter of the late William and Henrietta Otto Schneider. She attended the township district school and on April 8, 1901, was married to Albert Schulz of Town Herman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Millersville. The couple resided on the Schulz homestead farm, Town Herman, which is now operated by their son Edmund. Mr. Schulz passed away Sept. 4, 1936.
Two sons, Raymond and Arno, and a brother and two sisters, also preceded Mrs. Schulz in death. Survivors are; seven daughters -- Mrs. August (Norma) Dedow, Green Bay; Mrs. Carl (Valeska) Johnson and Mrs. Henry (Hilda) Wahlgren, both of Milwaukee; Mrs. Albrecht (Martha) Meise, town Meeme; Mrs. Waldemar (Emma) Kinzel, Sheboygan; Miss Ruth Schulz, Union Grove and Mrs. Richard (Esther) Seidel, Milwaukee; two sons,--Paul, Cambridge, Wis., and Edmund on the homestead farm, Town Herman; two brothers, -- Edward Schneider of Edwards and Ferdinand Schneider of Fontana, Calif; and 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at Schwartzwald, with the Rev. E. L. Henning officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
