Kiel—(special)—Mrs. Helen Schreiber, 59, widow of the late August Schreiber and a resident of the town of Meeme, died Sunday at St. Nicholas hospital at Sheboygan after a brief illness. She was born in the town of Meeme, Feb. 25, 1879, the daughter of William and Henrietta Schneider. On Dec. 1898, she married August Schreiber of the town of Meeme and the couple located at the present farm home. Mr. Schreiber died Feb. 5, 1936.
Surviving Mrs. Schreiber are six daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Henrietta) Lutze, town of Liberty, Miss Ella of Sheboygan, Mrs. Louis (Hildegarde) Weyhausen of the town of Liberty, Mrs. Leslie (Edna) Reinke, town of Mosel, Mrs. Lester (Linda) Libke and Mrs. Carl (Priscilla) Schrank of the town of Newton; three sons, Hugo of Beloit, August and Alfred, at home; 17 grandchildren; three brothers, John Schneider of Sheboygan, Ferdinand Schneider of South Gates, Calif., and Edward Schneider, Edwards, Wis.; and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Reinke of Howards Grove and Mrs. Albert Schultz of Ada.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home and at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Schwartzwald. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
