The former Hattie Goedeke was born January 22, 1893 in the Town of Herman, a daughter of the late Robert and Frederika Herzog Goedeke.
In 1913, she married Fred Olm and he preceded her in death in 1921.
On October 17, 1924, she married Gustav A. Roeder, at the parsonage of St. John’s Evangelical Reformed Church, Schwartzwald and they farmed in the Town of Herman until moving to Sheboygan in 1948. Gustav preceded her in death on June 15, 1976. Mrs. Roeder was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Schwartzwald.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Freda Koellmer, of Sheboygan and Mrs. Dorothy (John) Liebmann, of Barneveld, WI; a son, Glenn, of Sheboygan; a daughter-in-law, Agnes Olm, of Haven; a step-daughter, Mrs. Irene (Calvin) Boedecker, of Franklin, WI; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Emma Cone, of Sheboygan. She was also preceded in death by a son, Calvin Olm; a daughter, Ruth Kress and ten sisters and brothers.
Funeral services for Hattie Roeder will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 1989 at Lippert Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd R. Fried, pastor of St. John’s U.C.C., Schwartzwald, will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at Lippert Funeral Home on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Roeder’s name.
