Gustav A. Roeder, 86, of 1443 N. 43rd St., died early this morning at St. Nicholas Hospital after a lingering illness.

He was born Nov. 5, 1889, in the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, a son of Fred and Bertha Roeder. He married Elenora Semph in 1914. She died in 1923. On Oct. 17, 1924, he married Hattie Goedeke Olm in the Town of Herman, where they farmed until moving to Sheboygan in 1948. Mr. Roeder was employed at the Vollrath Co. for five years, retiring in 1953.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Ms. Calvin (Irene) Boedecker, rural Sheboygan Falls, and Mrs. John (Dorothy) Liebmann, Bluemond, Wis.; a son, Glenn at home; a step-daughter, Mrs. Freida Koellmer, Milwaukee; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Erwin Wunsch, Sheboygan. A step-son , step-daughter, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at ST. John United Church of Christ, Town of Herman, with the Rev. Deane Miller pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
