Last rites for Hugo F. Olm, 70, of R. 1, Cleveland, will be held Tuesday at St. John United church of Christ at Schwartzwald. The Rev. E. L. Henning will officiate.
A retired Town of Meeme (Manitowoc County) cheesemaker, he died Saturday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week. A native of the town of Meeme, Mr. Olm was born Nov. 5, 1892, a son of the late Ferdinand and Hulda Olm. He was educated in district school and married Meta Meyer, also of Meeme, Dec. 22, 1917.
Following marriage he took over operation of his father's Meeme cheese factory, about five miles northeast of Ada, continuing in the occupation until his retirement in 1950. While the factory is no longer in operation, Mr. Olm had continued to reside nearby. His first wife died in January 1923. He married Mrs. Hattie Behnke Lau of Brillion, Dec. 29, 1926.
She survives, along with a son, LeRoy, Kiel; a step-son Ralph Lau, Kiel; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Leon Laack, Hilbert, Mrs. Lydia Neumann and Mrs. Raymond Perronne, Plymouth, and three brothers, Arthur, Sheboygan Falls, Ewald, R. 1, Cleveland and Ferdinand, Kiel.
