MRS. META OLM OF TOWN OF MEEME IS CALLED BY DEATH
Mrs. Meta Olm, aged 25 years, passed away at St. Nicholas hospital Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock, after being a patient there for two weeks.
Mrs. Olm, who resided in the town of Meeme, was brought to St. Nicholas hospital here January 3 and the following day underwent an operation for relief from gallstones. Her condition seemed to be improving and plans were made for her return home on the day following her death. About an hour before her death, however, complications arose which she could not fight and her untimely demise came as a shock to relatives and friends. Her mother, Mrs. Meyer, of the town of Meeme, who had been with her during her illness, was at her bedside when the end came.
Mrs. Olm was born at Spring Corners in the town of Meeme on January 1, 1898 and was married to Hugo Olm, a cheesemaker, on December 22, five years ago. They have resided on what is known as Olm’s place since. Mrs. Olm was beloved by all who knew her and a kind and loving wife and mother.
Besides the husband, Hugo Olm, and mother, Mrs. Meyer, an infant son, seventeen months old, two sisters, Mrs. Annie Siemers of Colbert, Washington, and Mrs. Olga Olm, of the town of Lima, and two brothers, Herman Meyer, of New York and Robert, at home, survive. A nine months daughter preceded her in death two years ago.
The funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the late residence and at 2 o’clock from the church at Schwartzwald.
Rev. Mr. Mohme will officiate and interment will be made in the church cemetery.
