MEEME PIONEER DIES AT WAUSAU, FUNERAL HERE
Mrs. Johanna Olm, widow of August Olm, pioneer settler of Meeme, Manitowoc county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Adam Matthes at Wausau Sunday morning, her demise being due to infirmities incident to old age. The body will be brought here today and the funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon from the home of her son, William Olm, at Meeme.
Mrs. Olm was past eighty-seven years of age, having been born in Germany and came to this country as a girl. She was married to August Olm, who served in the Civil War and was prominent in the agricultural circles of the county until his death in 1899. Since the death of her husband the widow has made her home with her children and for the last few years has been at Wausau where two of the daughters lived.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Adam Matthes and Mrs. Henry Rosenthal, both of Wausau, Mrs. Henry Klemme of Stratford and Mrs. Louis Zimmerman of Cleveland, one son, William Olm on the old homestead in Meeme, a sister, Mrs. Snathart of Iowa, who is eighty-nine years old and by twenty-nine grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren.
