Mrs. Mary Muetzelburg Dies Thursday After An Illness
Mrs. Mary Muetzelburg, 75, passed away at 12:30 o’clock on Thursday afternoon at her home a half-mile east of Edwards on the town line, after a lingering illness.
She was born March 24, 1868, in the town of Meeme, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Kolb. In April, 1890, she was married to August Muetzelburg, who passed away in July of 1917. She was wedded to William Muetzelburg on Aug. 24, 1923, who preceded her in death in July, 1933.
There were 10 children born of the first marriage, Mrs. Elsie Neuman of town Meeme, Mrs. Viola Barthel of Milwaukee, Hugo Muetzelburg of Franklin, Erwin Muetzelburg on the homestead, Arthur Muetzelburg of the town of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Martha Witthuhn, also on the homestead; Mrs. Olivia Kautzer of Sheboygan, Roland Muetzelburg of Two Rivers, and Carl Muetzelburg of town Herman. A son, Victor Muetzelburg, passed away when he was two years old.
Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters: Edmund Kolb of town Meeme; Dr. F. K. Kolb of Howards Grove, Emil? Kolb of Davenport, Ia.; Roland Kolb of Marshfield, Mrs. Rossa Lehan of Chicago, Mrs. Emily Eckardt of Sheboygan, Mrs. Emma Jacobi of town of Centerville, and Mrs. Alvina Payne of Harlem, Mont.
Two brothers and two sisters, Henry, August and Lydia Kolb, and Mrs. Lena Toepel, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home by the Rev. Schulz, and at 2 o’clock in the church at Schwartzwald, of which Mrs. Muetzelburg was a lifelong member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
This evening at 5 o’clock the body was removed from the Stoltenburg Funeral chapel to the Muetzelburg home, where it can be viewed until the time of the services. The casket will not be opened at the church.

Mary Muetzelburg Funeral Services Held On Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Muetzelburg, who passed away on Thursday at her home a half mile east of Edwards, were held on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home and at 2 o’clock at the Schwartzwald church. The Rev. Mr. Schulz officiated and burial was in the adjoining church cemetery.
At the home the church choir offered “lass Mich Gehen” and “Ewiger Felsen, Nur (in dich)" and at the church, “Harre Meine Steele” and “Hohes Heileges Morterbild.”
Pallbearers were Waldemar Toepel, Hubert Kolb, Melvin Kolb, Art Heineman, Albert Jacobi and Alvin Kolb.
Mrs. Muetzelburt had 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
