Willard Meyer, 71, a resident of the Comprehensive Health Care Center of Manitowoc for several years, died there early Sunday morning. He was born January 12, 1917 in the Town of Meeme, a son of the late Robert and Alma Semph Meyer. Willard enjoyed working as a farmhand. He was never married.
Funeral services for Mr. Meyer will be held Tuesday evening, at 8 p.m. at the Zimmer Funeral Home, in Howards Grove. Rev. Lloyd Fried, pastor of St. Johns U.C.C. Schwartzwald, officiating. Committal services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Johns UCC Church Cemetery in Schwartzwald.
Friends of Willard Meyer may call at the ZIMMER FUNERAL HOME, in Howards Grove, on Tuesday, from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Survivors include two brothers, Alfred (Elvera) Meyer, of Rockville, Wi.: Elmer (Lucille) Meyer, of Route 1, Elkhart Lake; one sister, and Mrs. Harold (Adeline) Kolb, of Cleveland. He is also survived by eight nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister.
A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Meyer’s name to St. John’s United Church of Christ.
