Bertha Meyer Sheboygan Press January 28, 1935

Mrs. Bertha Meyer, aged 71, passed away Sunday evening at the home of her son, Theodore, in the town of Meeme on Highway M, after a short illness. Mrs. Meyer was born Nov. 22, 1863, in the town of Herman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Brass. She lived there with her parents until June 10, 1884, when she was united in marriage to John Meyer. The couple located on the present Meyer farm. After Mr. Meyer's death on March 29, 1912, Mrs. Meyer continued to make her home there with her son. Mrs. Meyer was a faithful member of the Evangelical church at Schwartzwald in the town of Herman. Having resided in that vicinity all her life, she had a large acquaintance and many friends.
Survivors are three daughters; Mrs. Lina Prange of the town of Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. ??? Winkel of the town of ??? ; Mrs. Emma Blanke of the town of Plymouth; a son, Theodore of Town Meeme; twelve grandchildren (rest illegible)

Bertha Meyer, 71, Dies in Town of Meeme
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Meyer, 71, who died at the home of her son Theodore on Highway M in the town of Meeme, Sunday evening, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Theodore Meyer home and at 2:00 o'clock from the Evangelical church at Schwarzwald, town of Herman. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Meyer was born in Herman, Sheboygan county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Brass. She was married in 1884 to John Meyer and they located on the present farm in Meeme. After Mr. Meyer's death in 1912 the deceased continued to make her home with her son.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Lina Prange, Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Martha Winkel, Meeme, and Mrs. Emma Blanke, Plymouth; a son Theodore, Meeme; two sisters and four brothers. There are 12 grandchildren.
