Mr. John Meyer who resided on a farm a few miles south of here died at his home on Friday evening at 8 o'clock. He had been sick but a very short time and his death, due to pneumonia, came as a sad shock to his many relatives and friends.
Mr. Meyer was born and brought up in the town of Meeme on the very farm from which he was called away on such short notice. He was 58 years and eleven months old. He leaves a wife and four children, one of whom is married, to mourn his loss. An aged mother died but a week ago.
Interment took place in the cemetery adjoining the Evangelical Lutheran church near Schwartzwald.
