George Meyer, a pioneer of Spring Corner, seven miles west of Cleveland, suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday afternoon of which he passed away at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The deceased was born January 26, 1857, on the homestead where he always resided. He was married to Miss Caroline Schreiber of the Town of Herman, February 24, 1884, after which he bought the homestead from his parents and since conducted it.
He is survived by five children, Herman Meyer, New York City; Robert Meyer on the homestead; Mrs. Anna Siemers, Mead, Washington; Mrs. Olga Olm, Town of Herman and Mrs. Meta Olm, town of Meeme; thirteen grandchildren, and three brothers, William Meyer, Albert Meyer, Newton, and August Meyer, Milwaukee.
The funeral will be held Saturday from the house, Rev Adelbert Helm, pastor of the Evangelist church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Schwartzwald cemetery.
