Rev. Horace T. Walker's death which occurred recently in Palatine Bridge, N.Y., was the result of an accident. While in the act of reaching for a pair of gloves on a shelf he slipped and fell heavily on a sawhorse standing upright on the floor and sustained fatal internal injuries. Mr Walker was born in this town, Sept 15, 1816, and recently celebrated his 70th birthday. He was son of Hon. Dean and Rebecca (Wright) Walker. He joined the church at Millis in 1834. Mr. Walker graduated from Yale College in 1841 and from Bangor Theological Seminary in 1843. He was installed pastor of the Congregational church at East Abington in 1844 and labored there for 25 years. Resigning in 1867 on account of ill health he took a trip to Cuba. A year later he became pastor of the Congregational church of Bridgewater and remained there for 12 years. Of late Mr Walker has not been settled and devoted much of his time to travelling. His remains were interred at Mt. Vernon cemetery, Abington.
