Henry Weinmeister, 68, 1706 14th St. Road, [Ft. Collins, CO] died Monday, Sept 20, at the Good Samaritan Village in Fort Collins. He was born Nov. 28 1907. at Windsor. Prior to World War II he raised and trained draft horses for show for the Crocker Ranch at Estes Park for seven years. During the war he served as sergeant in charge of veterinary stables at Ft. Ord, Calif., later serving overseas with the 94th Field Hospital in Saipan. He married Malve Nelson, Jan 1, 1955, at St. Paul, Minn. He was a real-estate broker, livestock buyer and ring man in the Sunset Sales Yard in Greeley and a cattle feeder. A member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, he was also a member of the Mother Chruch in Boston. He was a former member of VFW Pioneer Post No. 2121.
Survivors beside his wife, Malve of Greeley, are six brothers, Dave Weinmeister of Fort Collins; Dr. Paul Weinmeister of Aledo, Ill.; Harold Weinmeister of Windsor; Dr. T.R. Weinmeister of Gering, Neb.; Henry Brunner of Mitchell, Neb.; and Rhinie Brunner of Ault; six sisters, Mrs R. J. (Elizabeth) Blehm of Eaton; Mrs. Lydia Brug of Windsor; Mrs. Kenneth (Irene) Short of Wheatland, Wyo.; Mrs. Millie Thoutt of Denver; Mrs. Carl (Agnes) Krieger of Greeley; and Mrs. John (Bertha) Geringer of Wheatland. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Macy Allnutt Drawing Room. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor. (Tribune, Greeley, CO, Sept. 21, 1976)
