LADD, Mrs. Frank. On January 19, 1904, the death angel visited again our vicinity and removed from our midst a loved one, Mrs. Frank Ladd. Mrs. Ladd was 49 years, 3 months and 1 day old. She was united in marriage to Frank Ladd, on January 1, 1884. At the age of about 18 years, she professed faith in Christ and lived as a consistent christian until her death. Her remains were followed by a large concourse of grief stricken relatives and friends to the Kreis cemetery and there laid to rest on January 21st, there to await the resurrection. The services were conducted by Rev. B. L. Peters.
Mrs. Ladd leaves a loved husband and nine children, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. She was only sick a few hours and the last words she spoke, she said to her daughter, who was ministering to her wants, were, "I am gone, goodbye to all." She was a good christian wife and a loving mother. She will be missed in the home and by all who knew her. They should remember that Mother is not dead, only gone to meet our Savior, where she is watching and waiting to welcome them home. She was taken from a loving husband and children but will meet them again in the sweet beyond where parting never comes and sorrow is no more. We hope that Jesus in his mercy will be with them in their sorrow, sustain them in their grief and when they are done on earth reunite them in heaven.
Dear Dora, we miss you so, All through the night how lonely it seems, for no voices to wake us from our dreams. We miss you all through the weary hours, We miss you as others miss sunshine and flowers. All through the day and night where e'er we go, Dear darling mother we miss you so. They should remember when the leaves swell in the forest, and the grass spring green on the plain. And the leaves fall and turn crimson, we should be ready to meet mother again. Every heart hath its sorrow, and every heart hath its pain, There is a day coming, When we shall meet mother again. "Tis the sweetest thing to remember, if we should know. When the Savior will call us. That we would be ready to go. God's will not thy will be done. - A Loved One.
