Services will held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta for Dan Charles Bailey, 68, of Coweta.

Rev. David Jones and Pastor Steve Lee will officiate the service.

Pallbearers will be James F. Lynch, Jim Lynch, Randy Holmes, Ricky Holmes, Charles Holmes, Carl Holmes, Steve VanTuyl and Raymond Holmes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Buck Holmes, Jim Jackson, Harold Chance, James Chance and Walter Williams.

Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.

Bailey died Friday, Jan. 28 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

A family visitation is planned Sunday, Jan. 30 from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bailey was born Dec. 12, 1942 in Broken Arrow to W.C. and Lorene (Chance) Bailey. He graduated from Union High School in 1960 and attended Oklahoma Baptist University and Oklahoma State University for four years.

He served in the United States Air Force National Guard from Sept. 16, 1965 to Sept. 15, 1970.

On Aug. 26, 1978 he and Terry Holmes were married in Coweta.

Bailey was a self-employed oil producer for over 35 years and was also a cattle rancher.

He attended the First Baptist Church in Coweta.

Bailey is survived by his wife, Terry of the home; one son, Johnson Charles Bailey and his wife, Summer of Broken Arrow; one daughter, Elizabeth Bailey of the home; two sisters, Wanda Lynch and her husband, James F. of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Patricia Bailey Eckman of Fort Collins, Colo. and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Lorene Bailey.
