DIES AT AGE 77
RITES MONDAY
Charles E. Roeder, of RFD 2 died at 3:15 a m today at Good Samaritan Hospital, at the age of 63 years, four months, and 24 days.
Mr. Roeder was a painter at the Pressed Steel Car Co. here.
Funeral services will be held at Wednesday at 2:00 p m at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Sam McCoy officiating, and burial will be in New Shiloh Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 3:00 p m on Tuesday.
Mr. Roeder was born May 12, 1887 in Jefferson County, the son of August and Martha (Osborn) Roeder.
He was married to Nellie Mae Dorris, who survives.
Mr. Roeder was a member of the B.R.C. of A.
Surviving besides his wife are four sons, Lloyd, Russell, Derrell, and Virgil, all of Mt. Vernon; four daughters Mrs. Kenneth Piig, Mrs. Harold Rainey, and Mrs. Imogene Grant of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Roy Yanez of Waukegan, IL, one sister, Mrs. William Pigg of Mt. Vernon, and 22 grandchildren.
