The attached obit was from the Arkansas Baptist Evangel Newspaper dated January 25, 1882. The obit was written by the Rev. James Bryant Searcy who was the pastor of Zion Baptist Church at Toledo in 1881 when Louisa was baptized. Shortly afterwards and prior to her death, Rev. Searcy moved to Little Rock to become co-editor of the Baptist Evangel (today the Arkansas Baptist). In her obit, Rev. Searcy included 3 songs he recalled Louisa singing in Church: "Sweet Home", "Gathering Home", and "Happy Home in Heaven".
