DORIS LONG PRITCHARD - LELAND – Doris Gray Long Pritchard, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 27, 1932 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Enos Jasper and Lucy Rogers Stocks. She formerly worked with Timme Corporation.
Final rites will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Peacock's Chapel In The Pines by the Rev. Bill Haddock. Interment will follow in the Ward Family Cemetery. Peacock's Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, John Pritchard; two sons, Elvin C. Long of Wilmington, and Larry Keith Long of Leland; two daughters, Donna Grey Anderson of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Sharon Kent of Inman, S.C.; two brothers, Billy Stocks of Whiteville, and Gayle Stocks of Delco; four sisters, Brenda Buffkin of Lumberton, Shelby Evans of Delco, Peggy Kelly of Wilmington, and Barbara Ann Duncan of Tabor City; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Curtis H. Long; a son, Elmond Thomas Long and a brother, James Oscar "Ottie-Boy" Stocks. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at
