Mongaup Valley - Stanley R. Shook of Mongaup Valley was pronounced dead Monday morning in Horton Memorial Hospital of injuries received in a truck accident Saturday night. He was 26.
Mr. Shook, an employee of the Village of Monticello, was a member of the Monticello VFW. He was born in White Sulphur Springs March 31, 1946. He married Veronica O'Dell June 29, 1967 and resided in Mongaup Valley. (The marriage was private & performed by JOP).
He is survived by his widow Veronica and two daughters; Babette and Melissa; his mother, Mrs. Clara (Peggy) L. Lagonigro, and stepfather, Domenic Lagonigro of Monticello; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Shook of Callicoon; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sprague of Lake Huntington; a brother, Edgar W. of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Lauraine Horback of Fallsburg and Mrs. Virginia Lanza of New Rochelle; several nieces and nephews.
