LAUREL — Sara Ellen Scoggins
Sara Ellen Scoggins, 76, of Laurel, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at Memory Chapel with burial in Antioch Cemetery in Jones County. Revs. Shane Singleton, Greg Reed, and Mike Thompson will officiate.
Mrs. Scoggins was a bookkeeper and office manager for Trusco, a member of Glade Baptist Church and attended Parkview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edward (Don) Scoggins and her parents, John B. Griffith and Geneva Yelverton Griffith.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Hamilton and husband Walt, and Lori Scoggins, all of Laurel; two grandsons, Jordan and Chandler Hamilton; and a host of other family members.
Pallbearers will be Chris Carmichael, Pat Carmichael, David Harrison, Roger Sellers, Veb Baucum and Zeke Baucum.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
