NATCHEZ - Services for Peggy Jean Hudnall Tew, 62, who died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Street United Methodist Church with the Revs. James E. Herndon and Faye J. Hudnall officiating.
Burial will be at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tew was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Natchez, the daughter of Alexander Smylie Hudnall and Ruby Eula Robertson Hudnall.
She was a longtime resident of Clinton, Natchez and Columbus. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Brandon. She had been an active member of First United Methodist Church in Columbus, where she taught Sunday school and played in the handbell choir. She was a lifetime member of Junior Auxiliary, Natchez Garden Club and the National Rose Society.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Ray Hudnall.
Survivors include her mother, Ruby Hudnall of Natchez; two sons, Ronald W. Tew Jr. and his wife, Krista, both of Brandon, and Gregory H. Tew of Rock Hill, S.C.; one daughter, Ellen Tew Shannon, and her husband, Robert, both of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren, Gracie Tew and Abby Tew, both of Brandon, and Jones Shannon and Miles Shannon, both of Pensacola; three brothers, Truman Hudnall and his wife, Nancy, both of Vidalia, La., Stuart Hudnall and his wife, Faye, both of Atlanta and Natchez , and Harry Hudnall and his wife, Clarice, both of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
