Henry, son of Henry Carl Krohn and Emma Marie (Schiebel) Krohn, was born April 23, 1934, in St Peter, where he attended school.
In 1951 he enlisted in the US Air Force. He served until 1961 working in communications construction and maintenance. He graduated from Mankato State University in 1964 with a bachelor's degree in industrial arts and business. He taught in Milwaukee for two years at the high school level followed by teaching at Brainerd State Hospital. In 1969 he received his Master of Science degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling from Mankato State. He was employed at St. Peter State Hospital as a supervisor until 1970, when he was appointed director of the mental retardation program at Rochester State Hospital. In 1974 he became the patient advocate at Faribault State Hospital. He worked there as a unit manager until his retirement in 1994. He married Roberta Tate Olsen in 1976. They owned and operated Ceramics of Faribo from 1981 to 1984. After his retirement they spent their winters in the Phoenix AZ, area where he taught stained glass and enjoyed playing shuffleboard.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta; four children, Vince Krohn, Randy and Shannon Krohn, Dean and Brenda Krohn, and Lora Vagts; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Van Howard; his parents; six brothers; and one sister.
