Rites Held for Hottie Friedrichs
Hattie J, Friedrichs, -daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Abben was born on April 15, 1907, Ackley, Iowa and for the past 32Jears has
been a resident of Marble Rock community. On January 6, 1960 at the age of 52 she passe away at
her farm home after a lingering illness caused by diabetic complications.
Hattie, one of twelve children (five boys and seven girls) was preceded in death by her parents and one
brother.
On June 2, 1926, she was unted in marriage to Carl C. Friedrichs at the Reformed Church of Bristow.
She is survived by her husband Carl; two sons, Leroy Des Moines, and Robert, of Humboldt; five daughters;
Mrs. Clarence (Evelyn) Staudt, MARBLE Rock; Mrs. Dallas (Carol) Hearn, Marble Rock; Mrs. Lawrence
(Edna) Garl, Nora Springs, Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Koeingsfeld, Marble Rock and Mrs. Jo (Wilma) Fleming
of Waterloo and nineteen grandchildren.
Mrs. Friedrichs was a charter member of this Faith Baptist Church where [mal rites w« held on Saturday
afternoon, January 9, with burial in Westside Cemetery, Marble Rock. Hamilton's Funeral Chapel was charge
of arrangements.
