Emery passed away 04 Feb 1943 in Australia from pneumonia which he contracted during treatment for leukemia. He was 30 years of age. Emery was brought home and laid to rest in God's Acre Schoeneck Moravian Cemetery in Schoeneck, Northampton, Pennsylvania.
