Command Sgt. Maj. Donovan E. Watts of Atlanta, Georgia joined the Army as an infantryman in February 1979, had held various infantry and leadership positions. He was also an instructor at the Basic Airborne School at Fort Benning, Ga. His assignments had been stationed in Panama and Korea in addition to three separate assignments in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. He also had deployed with the 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment in support of Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
