Laura Lee Merrick, 85, of Elkhart died January 27 2011 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born December 10, 1925 in Elkhart to John W. and Hazel F. (Burns) Parisho and married Eldon B. Merrick on July 2, 1949. He survives along with 3 daughters, Penny Copsey of Elkhart, Cynthia (Curtis) Kamisugi of Honolulu, HI and Rebecca (Jay) Jennings of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA; 2 sons, William Merrick of Indianapolis and Dan (Karon) Merrick of Elkhart; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Moffitt of Lima, OH. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Gloria and Christabell Parisho and her parents.

Mrs. Merrick retired from C.T.S. Corporation as an assembly line inspector and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Mary Susanna Circle. She loved to travel.

Visitation will Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart and from 10 am to the 11 am service on Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Elkhart. Reverend Lore Blinn Gibson will officiate. Burial will be at Prairie Street Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Church.
