Louise Ellen Dye, 73, of Swords Creek, died Sept. 29 in a Richlands hospital.
Born Jan. 12, 1934 in Swords Creek, she was a daughter of the late Patton and Dora Hess Dye.
A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of Lynn Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay C. Dye; one daughter, Wanda Sue Dye; one grandson, Gary Wayne Dye; one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Nicole Clark; five brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors: daughters, Brenda Richardson and Barbara Blankenship, both of Doran, Sandy Hubbard and husband, Dean, of Cedar Bluff, Linda Wilson of Swords Creek; sons, Larry Dye and wife, Mary, Harold Dye and wife, Linda Jean, and Jeff Dye and wife, Jennifer, all of Swords Creek, Virginia and Stevie Dye and wife, Toni, of Honaker; grandchildren, Jeffery Jay Dye, Jr., Trena Boyd, Teresa Dye, Deana Clark, Kathy Justice, Christopher Hubbard, Timothy Richardson, Billy Blankenship, Joseph Wilson and Shirley Wilson; nine step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; special brothers, Frank Dye of Honaker, Perry Dye of Swords Creek; loving sister, Ebbie Hess of Swords Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delmer Spencer, Rev. Billy Harris and Rev. Daniel Richardson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Boyd-Dye Cemetery in Swords Creek.
