"Winfred Lee Findley, 59, of Springdale died April 18 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 18, 1929, in Elm Springs, the son of Leonard and Anna Mae Pierce Findley. He was a retired security guard and was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Findley of he home: one son, Michael Elzey of Fort Riley, Kan.; four daughters, Denise Rodgers of Fayetteville, Sherry Gilfillian of Santa Cruise, Calif., Alicia Joslin of Munice, Ind., and Kimberly Cate of Springdale; and 18 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the National Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale." (The Springdale News, April 1989)
