Ralph L. Orr, 93, a resident of Harleysville since 2008, formerly of Altoona, died Mon., Jan. 24, 2011 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. He was born in Altoona to David H. & Ruth (Shimer) Orr. He and wife, Mary Margaret (Greenwood) Orr, would have observed their 69th wedding anniversary on June 6 of this year. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, David Orr & wife, Barbara, of Harrisburg, NC; daughter, Penny Orr, of Schwenksville; grandson, Matthew Orr & wife, Allyson, of Raleigh, NC and gr. grandchildren: Kyra and Kyle. Ralph was a 1936 graduate of Altoona High School. U.S. Army, WWII veteran serving from 1936-45, and was employed as an Altoona city firefighter. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Altoona and later joined Reformed Baptist Church, Franconia. Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Harleysville Pike, Telford. Private burial, Blair Memorial Park.
