Dennis Myron Park, 65, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Renaissance Assisted Living in Blackfoot.

He was born June 29, 1945 in Blackfoot, Idaho, the son of Myron Earl Park and Orva LaRee Lilya. He graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1963. He then attended Ricks College for two years and for a short time at Utah State University.

Dennis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a Spanish speaking mission in Fresno, California from 1966-1968. His father passed away while he was serving a mission. He worked for Basic American for 34 years and Nonpareil for 5 years.

He enjoyed bowling (on two leagues), fishing, watching sports on TV, was on the baseball team in high school and rodeo club in college.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Orva Park, of Blackfoot; and brothers: Jay Lynn (Priscilla) Park, of Shelley, ID, Kevin James (Sheila) Park, of Aberdeen, and Blake Marlow Park, of Groveland.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Myron; and sister, Charlene.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Blackfoot 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 660 Teton Drive in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 11:30 to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church.

Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Hawker Funeral Home.
