Death Certificate #24556. Elbert Houston married Cora White on July 12, 1914. It is believed that she was the daughter of Warren and Martha White of Hamburg Township, Jackson County, NC. Cora died on September 26, 1929.

On December 13, 1930 Houston married Rosa Ellen Capps. Rosa had married Houston's brother, Davis Clingman Barton, on March 14, 1915. Davis died on May 24, 1927.
