Henry H. Pankratz, 86, of Mountain lake, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999 at Good Samaritan Center, Jackson.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Mennonite Brethren Church, Mountain Lake, with burial in Mountain Lake Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday , and one hour prior to services, both at the church. Bjerum Funeral Home, is handling arrangements.

He is survived by his wife Martha of Mountain Lake; sons, LaVerne and wife Bryce of Hopkins and Dale and wife Carol of Mountain Lake; daughter Roslyn and husband Don Jenkins of Fridley; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Ralph of California; sister-in-law Aletha Stoneberg of Mountain Lake; brother-in-law Lester Foss and wife Eloise of Austin; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Olga, Bertha, Lydia, Allegra Pankratz and Maire Foss; brothers, William and Willard; and sister-in-law Ruth Pankratz.

He was born Dec. 4, 1912 in Mountain Lake to Henry B. and Mary (Kroeker) Pankratz. He attended and graduated high school in Mountain Lake. Following school he worked for several farmers in the Mountain Lake area. He married Martha Adrian March 9, 1945 in Mountain Lake. After their marriage they farmed in southwestern Cottonwood County. In 1959 they moved to the Isaac Adrian homestead, where they remained until he retired in 1995. In 1997 he moved to the Good Samaritan Center. He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Brethren Church, Mountain Lake.
