A resident of Prospect, he was a carpenter and the husband of Rachel ( -- ) Kelly. Ottis Jr was 29 years old when he died of a pulmonary embolism on July 20, 1943 at Nashville's Saint Thomas Hospital. Burial was the next day in Prospect Cemetery at Prospect.
