Lee was born in Van Alstyne, Texas the son of Collin A. & Mary Catherine (Hughes) Kelly. Lee the owner of several downtown businesses in Sherman, Texas, died unexpectedly at a local Sherman hospital.
He was survived by his wife of Sherman; a son, L. Jack Kelly of Briar Cliff Manor, New York; and a grandson, Dr. Robert Kelly of Syracuse, New York.
Funeral services were held at Dannel Funeral Chapel, Reverend Archibald McD. Tolbert, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Sherman, officiating.
Pallbearers were C.C. Binkley, Dr. A.G. Welling, Joe Linxwiller, E.T. Gwalting, Henry Peavy and Arthur Hopkins Jr.
Burial place: Mausoleum, West Hill Cemetery, Sherman, TX
