Doyle R. Dean
Hamlin-Doyle R. Dean of Garland, formally of Hamlin went to his Heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 22, 2011, at Baylor Hospital. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Born November 1, 1928, in Lubbock, Doyle was a son of the late W.W. and Faye (Nicholson) Dean. He attended schools in Swedonia and Hamlin, and went to college at McMurry University. Doyle was drafted in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He spent much of the remainder of his professional career at the Republic National Bank. He retired as vice president of the bank in 1986.
Doyle was preceded in death by one brother-in-law (David Cowan), and a special friend (Joe Bonds, Jr.).
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jack Marshall; two sons, Russell Dean, and Steven Dean (and wife, Deannia); three grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe Allen and Jolene Dean; one sister, Lusara Cowan; one uncle, James Nicholson; four nieces; two nephews; and very special friends, Beryle Jo Wheeler and Brad Rowland.
Memorials may be made to Saint Jude Hospital, Hendricks Hospice Care or one's favorite charity.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery.
