Mr. Canaday was born July 15, 1941 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He spent most of his life in the Texarkana area. He was self employed for many years.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kellie Canaday Harmon and Chris Harmon, of Texarkana, Texas and one son, Gus David Canaday, Jr., of Jenks, Oklahoma, 6 grandchildren, Jacob Harmon, Aaron Harmon, Luke Harmon and Ben Harmon, all of Texarkana, Texas and Grace and Grant David Canaday, both of Jenks, Oklahoma and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas with Rev. Tim Montgomery and Rev. Willie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
